On weekends in the spring and summer, the Red Hook Ball Fields play host to an array of amateur and semi-pro sporting events. Men and women, of all ages and from all over, come to pitch, bat, kick, race, or just watch the action at the nine baseball diamonds, two soccer fields, and one track. Many also come to sample the offerings of the ball fields’ popular food carts and snack vendors. Here are glimpses of the crowd.
